Inspired by the geometry of Mondrian’s line work, its slim frame shows an asymmetry that defies its strength, presenting a floating cocoon of soft fabrics or leather.

Kvadrat Floyd

By Åsa Pärson

Floyd is a discreet and precise upholstery textile designed by Åsa Pärson. It offers an optimal combination of manmade and natural materials: the durability of polyester yarns with the natural expression of undyed wool yarns.

The wool yarns, which are processed as little as possible, give the surface of Floyd a subtly striated look. This effect is emphasised by the solid, bolder colours of the polyester yarns.

  • 50% Polyester, 45% New Wool (worsted), 5% Nylon
  • Made in the UK
  • 50,000 Martindale

Kvadrat Merit

By Maharam Design Studio

Merit is an upholstery textile designed by Maharam Design Studio. Predominantly crafted from recycled material, it offers a rich texture and the pronounced colour depth traditionally associated with wool.

Merit has a soft, dimensional surface which is due to the use of voluminous yarns held in place by fine mélange yarns un its construction. Weathered and solid fibre effects are produced using two different types of dye, which delivers eye-catching colour richness.

The post-consumer recycled polyester used in the production of Merit is made from fibres derived from consumer waste, which has been used, disposed of, and diverted from landfills. These are reprocessed, spun into yarn, and then woven and dyed.

  • 76% Post Consumer Recycled, 24% Polyester
  • Made in the USA
  • Durability Rating 85,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 4
  • Lightfastness Rating 6-7

Kvadrat Remix 3

By Giulio Ridolfo

Remix 3 is an elegant upholstery textile distinguished by exceptional depth of colour, designed by Giulio Ridolfo. It comes in 23 new hues, adding to an already expansive palette which now offers a total of 72 sophisticated colourways.

Remix 3 looks unicoloured from a distance but reveals subtle details and colour contrasts when viewed close-up. The textile features a tight, minimalistic weave, and derives its lively colour play from a combination of two different mélange yarns, which each combine up to three hues.

  • 90% New Wool, 10% Nylon
  • Made in the UK
  • 100,000 Martindale durability

Kvadrat Fiord 2

By Louise Sigvardt & Tone Barnung

Fiord is a versatile woollen upholstery textile with a subtle three-dimensional look. Originally designed by Norwegian designer Tone Barnung, it comes in refreshed colours created in collaboration with Louise Sigvardt.

The construction of Fiord combines a mélange yarn with a unicoloured yarn that creates pearl-like dots that play across the textile’s surface. This sophisticated expression reflects a key source of inspiration behind the design: moonlight glittering like pearls on the rippling waters of a Norwegian fjord.

  • 92% New wool (worsted), 8% Nylon
  • Made in Norway
  • Durability Rating 60,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 4-5
  • Lightfastness Rating 6

Kvadrat Harald 3

By Raf Simons & Fanny Aronsen

A closely-woven, very short-pile velour, Harald brings the fresh, soft texture of cotton to a directionless velvety textile. The intense colour offered by this matte velour places the focus strongly onto the silhouette of the upholstered object, emphasising its shape and contours.

Originally designed by Fanny Aronsen, Harald comes in a new colour palette conceived by Raf Simons offering a particularly large selection of vivid keynote tones, including primrose yellow, burnt orange, raspberry, lavender, aubergine and dark mint green, alongside more natural tones. Harald is a durable fabric suitable for use as curtains as well as in upholstery.

  • 100% Cotton
  • Made in Italy
  • Durability Rating 100,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 4-5
  • Lightfastness Rating 6

Kvadrat Molly 2

By Åsa Pärson

Naturally coloured Molly 2, an update of Molly, is an upholstery textile with a delicate and simple appearance designed by Åsa Pärson.

The idea behind Molly was to create a basic textile using the yarn as its starting point. The textile is made from Norwegian worsted yarn. Naturally coloured, it derives its appearance from the way the yarns are mixed.

  • 100% New wool (worsted)
  • Made in the UK
  • Durability Rating 75,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 3-4
  • Lightfastness Rating 4-5

Kvadrat Re-Wool

By Margrethe Odgaard

Crafted using 45% recycled wool, Re-wool is a rich upholstery textile with a sustainable profile. The textile is partly made by reusing scraps from Kvadrat’s yarn spinners in the UK. It is designed by Margrethe Odgaard.

‘The idea was to create a both honest and environmentally friendly – textile with a poetic feel by recycling leftover material from Kvadrat’s own production’, explains Margrethe Odgaard.

Reminiscent of colourful stitchings on a darker background, Re-wool features exceptional depth of colour, creating a dynamic play on the textile’s surface when applied to furniture.

  • 45% New wool (worsted), 45% Recycled wool, 10% Nylon
  • Made in the UK
  • Durability Rating 100,000 Martindale

Kvadrat Divina Melange 3

By Finn Skødt

Divina Melange is a textile characterised by its lack of texture and nap and consequently the fabric accentuates the dimensions of the furniture, giving prominence to the colours.

Melange means mixture. The original six grey and beige colourways are produced by mixing varying proportions of either black or brown wool with white wool. The different colours of wool are mixed before the garment is spun.

The additional colourways have come about by dipping the two base colours in bold, virtually luminous pigments creating coloured melanges.

  • 100% New wool
  • Made in the UK
  • Durability Rating 45,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 3
  • Lightfastness Rating 6-7

Kvadrat Hallingdal 65

By Nanna Ditzel

Kvadrat’s first textile ‘Hallingdal’ has become the archetype of woollen textiles. The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, and is now available in a version with an updated colour scale: Hallingdal 65.

Hallingdal 65 is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.

Sørensen Leather Ultra

One of the most versatile leathers around, Ultra is everything you would want in an “everyday” type of leather. Buffed and embossed and truly nice to touch, the surface of ULTRA boasts a uniform grain pattern spanning over the entire hide. Making it a dream to work with for designers.

Ultra has some additional amazing attributes. Thanks to its extremely strong protective finish, it’s very user-friendly and easy to maintain. Stains don’t even leave a mark once wiped away using a fresh cloth with water. What’s more, as a leather with a heavy surface protection, Ultra will take longer to show signs of aging or fading due to exposure to light.

Add to that a selection of great colours, from warm, earthy tones and numerous neutral hues to a few more vivid colours, and you have an all-around leather you’ll be glad you had.

  • Protected leather
  • Appearance Very strong and durable with a uniform, matt surface print
  • Care Over time if you see the need for cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner once or twice a month with a soft brush to remove any dust. Once or twice a year for thorough cleaning, use the foam from soap flakes stirred in warm water. Apply the foam with a dry soft cloth, minimizing any contact with water. Avoid bar soap, saddle soap, leather cleaners, household detergents or chemical products. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects

Dedar Alexander Melange

This soft wool velvet, a classic within the 2012 Dedar collection, is made in Italy using the finest quality Australian merino yarn. The extra-fine virgin wool (18.2 microns) is selected with extreme care and provides the velvet with natural resilience: it upholds the softness, lightness, warmth and dynamicity. Left to breathe in the air, the merino fibres recover their original humidity, re-inflate and heighten the weight of the velvet. The new range, which focuses on light shades and introduces 10 melange colours highlights the soft essence of the material.

Kvadrat Byram

By Raf Simons

Made with pure kid mohair, Byram is particularly soft to the touch. A palette rooted in warm, pearly greys recalls a young swan’s plumage, and extends into cool and rich grey-blues. Contrast comes from the warmth of primrose yellow and gold, cool forest greens and dilutions of cochineal. Thanks to the satiny sheen of its pile, Byram exhibits colour in liquid nuance.

  • Made in Italy
  • Durability Rating 70,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 4-5

Kvadrat Coda 2

By Norway Says

Designed by Norway Says, the fabric combines a graphic, textured surface and sophisticated colours to very lively effect: from a distance it appears monochrome, but when seen from closer up it reveals a second colour.

Made from wool, Coda is woven in two layers, with each in a different colour: it is the hue of the base layer that is surprisingly revealed as the viewer approaches the textile. This distinctive construction also serves to accentuate the three-dimensional character of the fabric and the rhythmic pattern of its bold texture.

  • 90% New wool, 10% Nylon
  • Made in Norway
  • Durability Rating 100,000 Martindale

Kvadrat Vidar 3

By Raf Simons & Fanny Aronsen

Woven from bouclé yarns with a regular loop size, Vidar has a deep, tight, large-grained texture that lends itself particularly well to the graphic use of colour in upholstery. Originally designed by Fanny Aronsen, Vidar has been re-coloured by Raf Simons, with shades ranging from fresh jade green, raspberry pink and iris blue through to brick and earth tones, and easy neutrals.

The gentle satin surface finish of the weave contrasts with the deep shadowy tones in the depths, giving a multifaceted richness to the intense colours in the range. Tightly woven, without the irregularities of the other bouclé fabrics within this collection, Vidar has an inviting texture, which variously recalls blackberries, orange peel or the comforting close-knit texture of a favourite sweater.

  • 94% New wool, 6% Nylon
  • Made in Norway
  • Durability Rating 100,000 Martindale
  • Pilling Rating 4
  • Lightfastness Rating 5-6

Sørensen Leather Shade

The Shade collection is an entirely new type of protected aniline leather developed in collaboration with Norm Architects. It has a very light layer of protection that’s imperceptible to the eye, designed so you can feel all of the natural nuances and subtleties of the surface.

Shade is a soft leather created to reflect the quiet, innate beauty of muted, earthy tones, ideal for partnering with other natural materials used in architecture and interior design, such as wood, stones, metals and tiles. Organic elements that make people feel calm, at peace and above all, welcomed in a space.

The silky matt surface triggers the desire to come closer to feel the lush richness of the leather. Up close you can see the natural markings unique to each hide that add character to absolutely any project you have in mind. Add to that a curated selection of hues with almost a duo-toned effect, including gradations of grey, earthy browns, sultry blacks and nuances in between. Colours that become even more fascinating with a lovely patina that will emerge over time and with exposure to light.

Enjoy this luxurious collection of subtle, soothing hues with a tactile sensation that’s utterly enthralling.

    Sørensen Leather Icon

With leather, one of the hallmarks of beauty are the natural markings you see on the surface. That’s something you’ll instantly recognize with Icon. The noticeable markings attest to its genuineness and add incredible depth and dimension. A softer, thinner leather compared to others in our collection, Icon has a semi-glossy surface that looks luxurious – and almost like liquid.

Try the colour cognac and it looks surprisingly like cognac, without the ice, of course. The coffee colour will almost trigger your desire to pour yourself a cup. Each of our colours have a terrific silky look and feel. And each colour has its own natural variations in the surface and the hue, from hide to hide. Icon boasts a slightly wilder look to begin with, not to mention a natural patina that emerges over time, depending on the light, conditions and usage. It’s softer and more flexible than many of our other leathers, resulting in a slightly more wrinkled look, for example, on big pillows for a sofa.

Whether your ideas take you to furniture, decoration, fashion, art or exhibitions, ICON will exude a lush sense of luxury that will take your breath away.
