For the Volumes collection of vases, Studio Piet Boon played with the different thicknesses and heights they saw reappearing in commercial vases. These proportions have an important function: they keep the flowers in the right place. “A volume for one flower, a volume for Ikebana, a volume for a large bouquet and a volume for a small or large plant,” Piet Boon explains.
For the Volumes collection’s earthy colour palette, Boon drew his inspiration from paintings by Italian artist Giorgio Morandi. “the Volumes collection is intended for mixing and matching different sizes,” says Boon. “These vases don’t need a lot of flowers, by the way. Just a couple of branches or a few beautiful large flowers will suffice.”
This Tall Vase is ideal on a plinth, tabletop or floor and can act as a decorative object on its own, or with a minimal arrangement of dried objects.

- The pots are treated with a thin waterproof coating on the inside, but this does not guarantee complete watertightness. We recommend not to place plants or flowers directly in the piece, but to use a bag or container within. Cracks can form if the plant is planted directly in the pot.
